Helpful Hints
In the beginning, couponing can be very overwhelming, but don't give up because it get's easier as you learn the techniques. I will list below some of the techniques that help me get organized and be ready to find my coupons.
-
Set-up a Paper file folder (expandable folder, etc) to hold the coupons that come in the newspaper such as Smart Source and RedPlum.
- File the "entire" Coupon Booklet by the week it is printed (found on the fold in small print).
-
Set up an E- folder in your email account just for your coupons. Then,
- Make sub-folders for each manufacturers or brand name.
- Next, go to the manufacturer/brand name products and look /sign up for their e-letters, promotions and/or coupon offers.
- The list of brand name/manufacturer to the left of your webpage will help you find many of the well-known items.
- Now in your email program, assign rules (or filters) to the emails as they arrive to go to the designated folder which you made in the above step. You may have to look in your email programs 'Options' to find the filters or rules.
- This keeps the coupon emails organized and tidy.
- When you need coupons from this brand/manufacturer, simply go to the email folder, check for coupons or go to the website to check for coupons.
Now I'm ready, what do I do first?
-
Begin by putting together your grocery list (based on needs & what's on sale at local stores)
-
To find the coupons, go to Hot Coupon World's coupon database or Southern Savers database, etc. to look for the available coupons (which also helps find the week the coupons came out in the Smart Source or Red Plum or Proctor & Gamble, etc.).
-
Then go to your paper files to search through the designated weeks coupons and then clip them. If no coupons are found in the paper coupons...

Then look through your email folders & coupon printers for available coupons, next...
-
Go to the websites (Blebco.com's Brand Name page helps here! )
